1. The short version

EffortlessVisa uses only strictly necessary cookies and browser storage - the minimum needed to keep you signed in and secure and to remember a couple of preferences. We do notuse advertising, analytics, or session-replay cookies. Because of that, there’s nothing non-essential to consent to, and rejecting optional tracking is not something you need to do here - there isn’t any.

2. What we use and why

NameTypePurposeDuration
ev_session_user_idEssential cookieKeeps you signed in; signed and HTTP-only so it can't be read by scripts.Up to 30 days or until logout
ev-admin.* Essential cookieSigns in administrators (staff only).Up to 8 hours
ev-cookie-notice-ack-v1Essential storage (localStorage)Remembers that you dismissed the cookie notice so it doesn't reappear.Until you clear your browser storage

Note: the keys that unlock your encrypted case content live only in your browser’s memory while a case is open and are never written to a cookie or persistent storage.

3. No tracking or advertising

We don’t load third-party analytics, advertising pixels, or session-replay scripts. If we ever add anything non-essential, we will add a real preference control with equally prominent “Accept” and “Reject” options, won’t load it before you agree where opt-in consent is required, will let you change your mind later, and will keep a record of your choice. We will never use “by continuing to browse you consent,” and rejecting non-essential cookies will never block the paid service.

4. Controlling storage

You can clear or block cookies and site storage in your browser settings, but blocking the essential session cookie will sign you out and prevent the app from working. See the Privacy Policy for how we handle the rest of your information.
